Tontadarya College of Engineering, Gadag Introduces AIML Branch and Expands Intake for ECE & EEE with AICTE Approval

Gadag, April 2025 — In a forward-looking move to meet the growing demands of the technology sector, Tontadarya College of Engineering (TCE), Gadag, has announced the introduction of a new undergraduate branch in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML). The addition of this branch has been officially approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, marking a significant step in the institution’s academic evolution.

The AIML program is designed to offer students a deep understanding of advanced technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, neural networks, data science, and intelligent systems — fields that are rapidly transforming the global job landscape. With this initiative, TCE aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in cutting-edge technological careers.

In addition to launching the AIML branch, TCE has also secured AICTE approval to increase the student intake for two of its existing and highly sought-after engineering departments:

• Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE): Intake enhanced from 60 to 90 seats

• Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE): Intake increased from 30 to 60 seats

These expansions come in response to the growing interest from aspiring students and the rising demand in the industry for skilled professionals in these core engineering domains.
